Chain Mail Biography of Marc

These are my answers to a chain letter.

Name: King Marc Pickett I of Padelford

Nickname: Mad Marc, Marco, Sir Skid, King Marc, Fratomnirex, That Dope Fly OG Pimp Gangsta Playa, Lykurgas, The DAMN cool one, You, Buddy (used only when I'm driving), The Guy in The Black Shirt Near the Back (usually at colloquia), AI Maker, Golem Master, Odin, Hephestus, Leonidas, Polaris, Lief, Hrothgar, HElmut neeman, Berserker, High, Just as High, and Third.

Place Born: Los Alamos, NM

Hometown: Amherst, MA

Favorite Saying: At the moment it's either "The will to think overcomes all urges when I enter my holy hanging state." or "Infinitesimal objects have real significance when viewed through infinitesimal eyes.".

Favorite Salad Dressing: Bleu (spit!) Cheese

Favorite Beverage: Tea, Earl Grey, hot

Shampoo or Conditioner: They're not mutually exclusive, are they?

Have you ever gone skinny dipping?: Yes! In the Rio Grand river (with naked women :-).

Do you make fun of people?: No, only ideas (at least that's what I try for).

Favorite Color: Blue. NO! Neon green! AAAAAAAAAHH!

Have you ever been convicted of a crime: I got a parking violation once.

One pillow or two: 2! 1 to put my head on, and 1 to use as a virtual dormbran (= sleep friend).

Pets: We have a bat living somewhere in our kitchen, but I haven't named it yet. Also, there's a bunny at The Ranch that we affectionately call EFS (Emergency Food Supply).

Favorite type(s) of music: Fast and/or thoughtful! Bach, Rammstein, Sepultura, non-piano Mozart, Nine Inch Nails, Lycaon, and Robots are Supreme. Basically, anything that puts me in an energetic or pensive mood.

Dream Car: A neon green and black Lamborghini with a bumper sticker that says "I was a nerd in high school".

What type of car do you drive now: Sleipnir, an S-10 Chevy blazer with 8 legs.

First car you had: Sleipnir.

What is your bad time of day: Mu! Every second is a finite blessing.

Favorite time of the year: Spring (Viva la Prima Vera!)

Adidas, Reebok or Nike: I'm not sure. Whichever exploits the most people in 3rd world countries while at the same time, pays the most outrageous amount of money to marketing and professional (already overpaid) athletes with the intent to convince people that buying their overpriced shoes will somehow make one a good athlete, and being a good athlete somehow makes one a good person.

Craziest or silliest person you know: The late Meester and Young Crazyman Pickett (AKA Jason Pickett)

What do you look for in the opposite sex: Intelligence, KBness, self determination, honesty, a Monty Pythonesque sense of humor, creativity, and an enthusiasm for life. Someone who thinks for themself who doesn't care what other people think about them (i.e. incorruptibility and fidelity).

Say one nice thing about the person that sent this to you: KBob and GForce both sent this to me. KBob's so KB that KB KBegins his 1st name. I'm proud of GForce that he has published a book and started a business, and he's only 22 years old.

Person you sent this to most likely not to respond: No one! Everyone has responded (I think).

Most proud of: My notebook full of ideas on how to solve the Artificial Intelligence problem, and my other notebooks full of ideas in general.

Who are your role models: Alan Turing, Thomas Edison, Aristotle, Meester, Leonardo Da Vinci, Andy Barto (my Ph.D. advisor), Charles Babbage, Astrid (!) (well, at least in some areas).

Favorite book: I'd have to say "A Snapshot of Mad Marc's World Rules", but since this isn't in print yet, I'll say "Godel, Escher, Bach".
